Enrolment information
Our principal visits all of our contributing schools to talk with the year six students and hand out enrolment packs during the week of the 22nd July. Information in the pack includes, tours, parent evening, a prospectus.

Our principal will visit Primary Schools and share a presentation with Year 6 students about ‘The Blockhouse Bay Intermediate Experience’. Enrolment/Information packs will be distributed to all students.

Parent Information Evening
Parents and Caregivers are welcome to attend an Information Evening. Information about the school and how we deliver the curriculum. The opportunities offered and available to students will also be shared. There will be time for families to meet and talk with students and staff members.

We have separate Year 6 Parents tour on the following dates – just turn up and our deputy principal will take you on a school tour.

Year 6 – School Experience Day
Intermediate Experience Day for Year 6 Students
Year 6 students interested in enrolling at Blockhouse Bay Intermediate are invited to an Intermediate Experience Day on Tuesday, 24th September, from 10:20am to 12:40pm. During this time, students will have the opportunity to watch our school’s production matinee show, Moana Junior.
Transportation Arrangements
We will arrange transportation for students from our contributing schools (Arahoe, Blockhouse Bay Primary, Marshall Laing, New Windsor, New Lynn, Chaucer, and Halsey Drive). We will collect them from their schools and return them after the visit. Students from other schools will need to be dropped off for the show and picked up afterward.
A Glimpse into Blockhouse Bay Intermediate
We understand that the two years your child will spend at Blockhouse Bay Intermediate will be both challenging and rewarding—and most importantly, fun! As part of this important transition in your child’s learning journey, our school has organized this visit to give them a glimpse of the rich opportunities we offer.
Welcome and Introduction
Upon arrival, students will meet in the hall, where they will be welcomed by one of our deputy principals and the specialist subject teachers.
Enrolment Information
Enrolment Online Opens: 1st June 2024
To enroll, please use the following link: https://enrol.etap.co.nz. The code is 1232. You will need to use your email address and set a password to get started.
Important Note: When uploading documents, click “Choose File” and then, once you return to the online screen, click “UPLOAD NEW DOCUMENT” to attach it to your application. Please remember to fill in all the required fields and upload all necessary documents relevant to your child’s enrolment.
Application Deadlines:
– Out of Zone Applications: Must be submitted by 3pm on 4th September 2024.
– In Zone Applications: Must be submitted by 4th September 2024.
Information required for enrolment
- Online enrolment form filled in.
- New Zealand birth certificate or NZ passport.
- If student is not a New Zealand Citizen, we require the students visa and the parents work permit.
- Confirmation of Home Zone Address letter. (In Zone only)
- Copy of a bill e.g. phone, rates etc . (In Zone only)
- If the student has a sibling at the school currently or a sibling that was enrolled here in the past. We also need a copy of the siblings birth certificate or passport to accompany the enrolment.
- If you (Mum or Dad) were students at our school in the past, we need proof of this with an old school report or a named class photo with ID.
Zone map and Street list
If your street is not listed, your application will be out of zone. Out of zone applications are taken during term three for the following years enrolment, many thanks.
